Creating Communities is a collaboration of some of Auckland’s most respected and established developers including Arcus Property Ltd, Hopper Developments, Southside Group and Dryden Property Ltd. In 2013, Creating Communities was tasked with building 260 new homes on 57 different complex sites between the Glen Innes train station and Wai O Taiki Bay waterfront. The joint project lead is Murdoch Dryden, a previous Chair of the Glen Innes Business Association. Dryden is passionate about Glen Innes, and building the very best quality homes as a foundation for a high functioning mixed tenure community.  Creating Communities have pioneered several affordable housing models targeted at families, expanded the supply of accessible housing well beyond what was mandated, and won several industry awards in the process.

Housing Foundation works with households to prepare them to own their first home, to purchase and ultimately take possession and to maintain their financial goals. Given the demand for new homes in the Tāmaki area, Housing Foundation has completed a total of 70 homes in Glen Innes and is building 15 new homes in another part of Tāmaki. You may be able to apply for one of these homes in the near future if you have a strong connection to the Tāmaki area.

Housing Foundation was formed nearly 20 years ago and is a not-for-profit, charitable trust that assists lower income renting households to become homeowners. Housing Foundation has successfully helped hundreds of households into affordable home ownership through shared ownership and rent to own programmes, and by building, managing or funding the construction of more than 800 new affordable homes.
